Earth Day in Liv's First Grade Class

Godfather Jeff came into Olivia's first grade for Earth Day last week. He came in and made some toys out of recycled wood rods and caps from washing machine soap.

Lions Get A QB at #1

The Lions have made their move and signed Matt Stafford to a 6 year $78 million contract. The largest rookie contract ever! Hope is this won't be the biggest bust ever. I wanted LB Curry, but now the debate is just beginning. He wanted in Detroit, well he better produce or we will have to endure another 3 to 6 years of a Joey Harrington type era.

For the last company picnic, management had decided that, due to liability issues, we could have alcohol, but only one (1) drink per person. I was fired for ordering the cups.

Driving Teacher Drunk During Lessons

NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (April 17) - A driving instructor who police say was drunk while giving someone a driving lesson can stay out of jail but will lose his license for a year. Daniel Winsky, 53, of Salem was convicted Thursday of operating under the influence while giving a lesson from the passenger seat of a car. He was sentenced to 18 months probation but won't be a licensed driver for one year.
Winsky was not behind the wheel during the December 2007 lesson in Ipswich, but prosecutors say he was in control of the passenger side brakes in the specially fitted car and also moved the wheel during the lesson.
Police pulled Winsky over shortly after a convenience store clerk smelled alcohol on his breath, then saw him enter the auto school's car. Winsky claimed he was not drunk during the lesson.

I am not sure I would have ever learned how to drive if the old man didn't have beer with him while teaching me how to drive!!

Good Riddens Madden

Unlike all the sports radio and TV shows, I am thrilled to not listen to John Madden ramble about nothing during football games. John Madden is retiring from football announcing, where his enthusiastic, down-to-earth style made him one of sports' most popular broadcasters for three decades. Personally, he has driven me nuts for longer than I want to admit and look forward to not listening to him babble during games. Happy RVing you SOB!

Brawl at a Funeral

MAGNOLIA, Arkansas - Sheriff's deputies say a Texas woman started a brawl at a wake in Arkansas when she arrived with a beer can in her hand.Anna Sindelar, 52, of Splendora, Texas, faces a third-degree domestic battery charges, as does Cynthia J. Hall, 46, of Magnolia, over the fight March 29.

Easter at Sheedlo's

Oliva and Payton played outside blowing and chasing bubbles. The girls had fun and Payton gigggled and laughed while chasing the bubbles made by Olivia.

Easter at the Cottage

We started a tradition this year at the cottage. From here on out we are going to have a Easter Egg hunt, coloring eggs, and dinner at the cottage. Today was the first annual EEH at the cottage. It was a great day and the kids had a great time! Liv and Max played out in the big hole in the dunes and the rest of the kids played in or around the cottage.

Here is the majority of the kids hunting for Easter Eggs. Altogether there were 7 kids running around and a couple more possible for next year!

Payton found about 8 eggs and she seemed to enjoy the contents of the eggs.

We all sat down for lunch. These are all the kids eating. Olivia, Maxwell, Grady, Evan, Payton, Madeya, and Mackenly in the high chair. The kids all played well together and no one cried all day! Amazing!

Four Wheelin' Again

After about 2 years of my dad and I saving and trying to decide what type of four wheeler we wanted to buy, we finally found one we both agreed on to buy. We almost bought a brand new ride from Gladstone Power Sports, but this one came from a relative that decided to sell hers.

It is a 2000 Polaris Sportsman 335 four wheeler. It is just what we needed and came a price that wasn't going to break the bank as a new one might. We are very happy with this wheeler.

The girls, Olivia and Payton, got to enjoy the new wheels at the cottage yesterday.

My dad was also happy to get on our own four wheeler and spin around the property. He had fun taking rides with Paypay and Liv!

Osgood Ties Hasek in Wins for 10th Alltime!

The picture is an oldie, but a goodie. Monday’s win for Red Wings goalie Chris Osgood was a bit of irony. Not only was the Wings’ 4-1 win over the Sabres his 389th NHL victory, it also move him into a 10th-place tie with his former Detroit teammate Dominik Hasek in a town where Hasek played most of his illustrious career

Here Olivia is watching me watching Payton in the pool. Payton is the eyes and head on the left of the picture.

Olivia was helping her little sister go down the frog slide.

The pool area is very nice and the water is shallow for kids.

The slide is not huge but not small either. The kids love to go on it and the have a challenge. Olivia stopped the challenge, but if you go down 53 times it equals a mile and you get a certificate and a spot on the "Wall."

Had to get at least one action shot of Liv going down the slide. Plus she asked me to take a picture of her going down.

Now Where Did My Portfolio Go??

What could have been lost down the pooper that would be that important to "dig" it out? I guess for some of us it might be 14 cents! Isn't that right Stein!?
