Trick or Treat!

We took the kids to Trick or Treat at Nockers and Lynn's house first. We were the first kids to arrive for candy! They also got to get to know Sadie, their dog that gave many "kisses" to Payton aka Butterfly. Olivia was a Kitty Kat.

We ended up at my parent's house lfor my birthday meal, ike normal. We had food and treats for the night and Bailey stopped by for some candy of her own. I wanted to take more pictures, but of course my battery died today. Murphy's law rules again.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my Blog! Today marks one year ago that I started my blog. What a fun year it has been! I hope I spread joy to those of you that check out our life. 8,320 hits so far, keep 'em coming!

Tonight the girls got to watch Charlie Browns Pumpkin Patch.

It was Payton's first time to actually watch the Great Pumpkin and she seemed to enjoy it!

Olivia got to carve another pumpkin tonight. Then she collected the pumpkin seeds and we baked them in the oven. MMMMM Good!

Carving Pumpkins

Olivia wanted to show her little sis how to carve a pumpkin. At first she didn't want to clean out the guts of the pumpkin, but when dad said he wasn't going to do it for her, Liv jumped right in. Payton had fun watching and helping when Olivia would let her. Liv wanted a "smiling scary" pumpkin and I do believe that was accomplished! Do you?

Look into my eyes

Payton loves looking at pictures of herself, so I took a picture of her so she could see "Paypay."

Pics From Sugarloaf

Here are a few photo's of Olivia and Natalie at Sugarloaf Mountain. My favorite is the one of the girls acting like they are standing on a ledge of a cliff!

Hot Selling Item!!

I can't wait to get this item! As many of you know, I was a Lions fan, yes WAS! I quit watching them three weeks ago becasue they are a waste of time. SOO, now I waste time watching racing, the Steelers, Colts, or any other football game on TV. I have vowed to find a new team because the Lions just plain suck.

Trip to Sugarloaf

Carrie took Olivia and Olivia's friend Natalie to Sugarloaf mountain today. They said it was beautiful and they took alot of pictures of the two girls playing and acting on the mountain. Payton and I stayed home and played with blocks and took a nap. Naps are the best!

Paintin' with Payton

Payton has just loved painting with water paints and building blocks. She will sit and paint for an hour. She got a little carried away today and started to paint on her face. A type of pretty she says. Of course, Olivia couldn't be left out of the lime light and had to paint herself up too!

Bird Hunt at Bourdeau's

Yesterday was the annual bird hunt tourney at Bourdeau's Camp. It was an eventful day. Kurt and I flushed up 10 birds, but came away with ZERO! I didn't even get a shot off, it was thick and the birds were very jumpy all day. It was still fun and we can't wait for next year!

Just Hangin' Out

Olivia was having fun climbing to the top of the huge tree in our backyard. She said she felt like she was on top of the world! Her next goal to is find a larger tree to climb. I guess I better get ready for a trip to the ER!

Defending the Cup Begins!

The Red Wings start their season and defense of the Stanley Cup. It is a good sight to see and know the Red Wings will be competitive and a joy to watch, especially after the debacle in Detroit with the Tigers and Lions sucking so much! Some joy in watching sports will be brought back into my life, except for cheering on whoever plays the Packers.

Closing Party at the Bluff

We had the 5th annual closing party at the Bluff. Kurt, Terry, Brad and I shot 11 under and took 3rd place. We also eagled the 9th hole which earned us $230. Tripod is pictured and played the activities upstairs and Brad is pictured dancing all alone. What a ham! Fun was had by all and it was full of laughs.

Friday Night Lights

We took the kids to the Braves football game against Alpena last night. The Braves won in a thriller, 14-0! They are now 5 and 1 on the season and have earned a spot in the playoffs. Liv had fun eating cotton candy with Maddy and Payton found the only mud puddle within a 2 mile radius.

Feeding the Deer

Payton went for a ride out to the cottage to check my dad's deer blind and to stop and feed the deer at the cottage. She loves being outside no matter the temperture, which is just like Sissy and most other kids I suppose.
