Hot Pad by Liv

Liv and Payton were busy in the kitchen. Liv was making her first hot pad with her weaving loom she got for Christmas. Payton was busy "drawing" on every page in a notebook.

Working hard and almost complete.

The finished project! She did most of the work by herself and it turned out pretty good for the first attempt. Plus it kept her busy and quiet for a period, which is pretty rare!

Fu%#ing Suck!

I still say that the Lions should just fold and save a lot of pain for everyone. At least it was nice to the Packers Fans show class and chant O and 16 at the end of the game.

You're a Dirty Mind

What are you thinking about? I can just imagine what you are thinking, especially you Dave! You are such a pervert!

Christmas Night

We went to Papa Steve and Nanny Kate's for dinner on Christmas night. The kids got another load of presents and I even got a few myself! Payton got more lip gloss and Olivia was playing with her sisters guitar.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was busy. Olivia woke up at 2 am and was already checking out her presents. I got her to go back to bed and delay the gift opening till 7:30. Payton also got up and loved all of her presents.
Olivia is showing off her easy bake oven that she is chomping at the bit to use. Like most of the toys today, it needs batteries and we don't have enough for all. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow!
Carrie gave me a break and opened Payton and Olivia's Littlest Pet Shop display thingy.

Papa Mike and Nanny Linda came over with their gifts and played with some of the toys with the girls.

Christmas Eve with the Families

Christmas Eve was one of regular. We started out at Uncle Joe and Aunt Sharon's house for dinner. Ate too much, of course. It was quite busy with 6 of the 7 cousin's at the house running, screaming, and laughing. Amazingly, there were no cries and no injuries!
Here we are starting dinner and most of the kids are visible. Maxwell, Olivia, Madeya, Makenly(just his head behind Jill), and Payton. Evan left to get ready for the big day tomorrow. Grady was over at the Iverson's for their annual X-mas dinner.
we then headed to Marcey's for Carrie's family gathering. Here Payton is trying to get to know Marcey's dog, Max. She was scared of him for some reason, but got better as the night went on.

Back home. Olivia was busy rearranging the gifts so Santa has more room for his haul. She is quite a thinker and excited for Santa to visit.

Christmas Hair Cuts!

Olivia helped entertain her sister while she was getting her haircut, it is a "bob" from what I am told.

AHHH! Suckers make any task just that much easier!

Olivia spent some time under the hood getting her hair dried before we left to brave the elements outside. They are calling for another 3 to 5 inches of snow today.

Fish Part III

We are making another run at having fish live in the house longer than 3 weeks. We bought the kids a little better aquarium, it has a filter and light.

Here are the replacements, not sure of the names yet.
Liv is excited, again, to have fish and already moved the tank closer to her bed.

Payton is showing her support for the Red Wings! I got to get her started early so she will watch a game with me in the future.

Watching Toons

Payton and Olivia were just hanging out with dad and watching some cartoons and TV. Payton was busy putting on lip gloss she call "pretties" and Olivia worked on getting a loose tooth even looser. Olivia also told me today "that she doesn't know why people call her A-livia, it is spelled with an "O" dad and is pronounced O-Livia." I said either way was fine but she doesn't like A-livia. WOW! Someone a little head strong?!

Learn to read Japanese!

Thanks Roy! Once again Roy has sent me an email that has broadened my educational knowledge (learning another language). If I knew Japanese was this easy, I would have learned how to read it and known what I was ignoring!

Liv's Christmas Program

Here are a few pictures from the 1st Grade Christmas Program today. The new format of having each of the 3 grade levels on different days was good for the parents as everyone could find a seat, which is unlike the past years.

Olivia singing her class song and following the music teacher.

Ahh, the triangle. A instrument that needs precision to master.

Olivia acting like she doesn't see me and trying not to laugh.

I think I see a smile that is intended for me!?

Wisconsin Sunday Mass

Roy went home this past weekend and took some snapshots of his old church and how it gets ready for communion. Explains a lot about Roy!

New Roof Going On!

Well, the new roof is starting to go on today. They started ripping off and shingling the south face of our house. Jeff and Nick were working on it and nearly completed the whole one side.
Here is Jeff, he was having some fun moving garbage out of the yard and lifting new bundles of shingles onto the roof with the skid steer.
Here is half of the roof almost done and not a minute too soon! We are expecting some heavy snowfall tonight.

Some advertising for Uncle Joe and the boys.

Pearl Harbor Day

December 7, 1941

Pearl Harbor bombed

At 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time, a Japanese dive bomber bearing the red symbol of the Rising Sun of Japan on its wings appears out of the clouds above the island of Oahu. A swarm of 360 Japanese warplanes followed, descending on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor in a ferocious assault. The surprise attack struck a critical blow against the U.S. Pacific fleet and drew the United States irrevocably into World War II.

Tree is up at Papa and Nanny's Too!

The girls went over to my parent's house yesterday and helped put up their Christmas tree. For the most part, they did a pretty good job!

As you can see, my mom was happy to have the help and enjoyed trying to coral my two little terrors energy. All the trees in Gladstone could be lit up if we could somehow harness the amount of energy these two little girls expend in a day!

The final touches to the tree and Payton actually put ornaments "ON" the tree, at least for now.

Christmas Parade In Esky

We went to the parade for Christmas in Esky last night and the kids had fun and collected a load of candy. Awesome! The turn out for the parade was pretty good, but not as many people as last year, I would bet becasue it was soooo cold.
My dad is holding Payton here, she is in the blue and my mom is on his left. Olivia was somewhere in front fighting for the goods.
Her is Olivia and how bundled up she was just to have a chance to see Santa and grap some sandy, slush filled candy.
My truck! This is the spot I spent most of the parade, thought it might be best to be in here to help save my bronchitis. I got a spot just off on main street and could see the parade, kids and Carrie, and my parents.
This is Ole' Saint Nick. They must have been cold too, because they went by at a steady speed and didn't stop at all.
