No Way....

Well, I guess my first thought when this was announced was "NO WAY!" I just couldn't believe that he was still 'IN' the closet! Now I just wish he would go back.

Look at the Chickens!

My mom and dad took Payton and Olivia out to LeeLee's house. While there Grady showed the girls the chickens in the coop. The kids had fun and look forward to a return.

Bird Season is Here!

Well, as many of you know, bird season is my favorite of all seasons. I missed hunting today because of work, but more than likely will be out tomorrow. The first few weeks are tough with the foilage still on the trees, but the joy in searching and getting the first bird of the season is awesome! For the next couple of weeks I will mostly be by myself, but then my bird dog Kurt will be out chasing the grouse to me. Once Kurt and I are done golfing, he likes heading to the woods with me, sniffing out the birds, and flushing them to me. He's a good boy!

Big Ten?

The Big Ten is looking like crap. Michigan is in a phase of transition and have had a glimps of what will be with a new head coach, but as of now they look like the Detroit Lions of college football. OSU was suppose to be ready to challenge USC last night, but looked more like the Bungles in Cincy. I hope that the injury to one player isn't the excuse or blame I hear from OSU fans. If they are suppose to be that good, one injury in college football shouldn't make them look this pathetic. Uof M just looks like garbage and sucks. Maybe one of the other Big Ten teams can step up and make the conference respectable, Iowa or Purdue perhaps? We'll see. As I have learned as a Lions fan, I can't wait till next year.

Minigolf and laces

I took Olivia to go do some putt-putt golf yesterday, but it was closed for the season. We settled for a visit to Nanny Linda's. We still got to play some mini golf and she started to learn how to tie her own laced shoes. Nanny Linda was showing her how and letting her practice with some string. Olivia has the idea down, but needs to master it. PS- I kicked butt in basement putt-putt! NO mercy for anyone!

5 year old ace!

BELLEVILLE, Illinois — Look out Tiger Woods, 5-year-old Drew Gray's got game.
The kindergartner had a hole-in-one — though it doesn't count because it was on par-3 course — last week on the 75-yard, fifth hole at Yorktown Golf Club. The shot was witnessed by several family members and verified by course owner John Bethard.
Drew is the youngest player to ace a hole at the course, Bethard said. Drew has been playing golf on family outings for two years. He played this summer in the club's golf camp for 4-to-8-year-olds, Bethard said.

Rocket Wins Third Straight!

Rocket Ron Jenshak won his third straight Super Stock Championship at Norway Speedway. I only made a handful of races this year to help out and it was another great race year for The Rocket. Brother Mark got his car on the track for the final 4 or 5 weeks and will be looking to dethrone Rocket next year. Mark has improved every lap and is already looking like a vet of the speedway. Congrats to both and best of wishes for next year!.

First Grade for Olivia

Olivia had her first day of first grade and was happy. She said it was a great first day! Olivia is also excited to have LeeAnne, my first cousin, for her teacher. We hope the rest of the year goes well too! It was a hot day for school today, around 80, but relief is on the way. 60's is in the temperature for the next couple of days.
