Makenly's 1st B-Day

Here is Makenly celebrating his 1st birthday! Makenly is the youngest of Jeff and Jill's three kids. Once again there were a ton of kids there, but I was unable to attend because of a chest cold and bad cough.

Payton and Madeya helped Madeya's little brother open his gifts.

Makenly in his Tonka dumptruck and is already getting a start in the family business.

Olivia had to have a picture taken since she was left out at the party. Here she is posing with her snow globe. It is a wonder it hasn't broken yet. She has dropped it about 4 times just today!

Thanksgiving at The Elliott's

We went over to Mike and Julie Elliott's for Thanksgiving yesterday. Lots of laughs, food, and good spirits were endured through the day. Payton and Barrett played with trains and kept the fighting to a minimal.

A few of the family plays the game apples to apples, I never heard of it nor did I partake in the activities of the game.

David and Papa Dick shot the bull about hunting trips and the good and bad that go with them.

The gals were spending some time looking at the sales ads in the paper for their morning hunt.

John found some time to grab a nap and get ready for the leftovers after his nap. It was a fun day and I am paying for it today. Thanks for the ride Mark!

Gary Allan Concert

Carrie and I went to see the Gary Allan concert last night at the Chip-In Casino and it was pretty rockin'! He is one of my favorite country singers. He is a true rock-n-roll singer that sings country. We, and the crowd, had a great time and he put on a good show. I take the band had a good time too, because I saw a few bottles of Jack being drank during the concert.

Grady's 2nd Birthday!

Lee and Ivey's boy, Grady, turned 2 and had a birthday party yesterday. It was a fun party and a flock of cousins showed up to celebrate. Along with Grady, Olivia, Payton, Lindsey, Evan, Maxwell, Madeya, and Mackenly were present to party.

Winter Fun in the Yard

Olivia and Payton got to go outside and play in the snow.

Snowfall could reach upwards of 15" tomorrow! But our lake effect will probably keep it more like 5".

Both of these love playing outside, no matter how cold, hot, or type of weather.

First Snowfall of 2008

We had our first snowfall of the year and Olivia couldn't wait to get her four wheeler out to slip and slide in the slippery snow!

No need to shovel, because she packed what snow we got onto the sidewalk!

Doing doughnuts and crazy 8's, but too dark to see the nice 8's she made in the front yard.

Please don't take my picture, I am so shy! Ya, Right!

Liv's Art Gallery

Olivia took some time to make some pictures and decided to use our room as her "gallery." She said it was to give the wall some color, and to butter up dad by the look of a couple of the pictures.

The Wall came tumbling down!

Do you remember this historical day in history?

Thursday, November 9, 1989.
Borders between East and West Germany were opened and the Berlin Wall began to be dismantled the next day. It is hard to believe that this happened 19 years ago today!

Tough Love vs. Spanking - Good Argument

Thanks Jill, this new technique has seemed to work rather well!

The following was advice that was given by my cousin's wife, Jill:

Good Argument Most people think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments.' One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, IPod, etc. Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too. I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Sincerely,

Jill

This works with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as well.

Look at my Hooters!

Here is what was said by pro golfer John Daly after a night at Hooters,

"Nothing is going right in my life right now," Daly said in a telephone interview Sunday. "I'm going through a hell of a divorce. I haven't seen my son. It was an unfortunate incident, but it's a joke what people are saying. I take full responsibility for what happened, but it wasn't that big of a deal."

Daly said it could have been avoided if his friends had realized he tends to "sleep" with his eyes open when he's tired, stressed and has been drinking.

Good one!

Devil's Night Prank

The Golzynski's woke up Friday morning to over 60 McCain, Falcon, and Casperson signs in their front yard. I was assumed the first guilty party, would have, but I was at Nockers' watching the Wings. The best part is that the misses took all the signs down before sunrise but when she left for Maddie's Halloween carnival and came back, they were back up in their yard! The guilty party has been identified and be on the look out for a short little grass cutter from Boston, that is you Junior! Paybacks are hell, be prepared.
